In Marathi, numbers are often represented in lakh (devanagari: ळाख) and koti (devanagari: कोटी) notation. One lakh is 1,00,000 (एक ळाख). Therefore ten lakhs are equal to one million. One koti is 1,00,00,000 (एक कोटी) i.e ten millions. One abja (devanagari: अब्ज) is equal to 100 koti and one nikharv (devanagari: निखर्व) is equal to 100 abja.
